Whole Food Nation Affiliate Info: What are the Whole Food Nation Pops

Whole Food Nation Pops - FAQ

If you are ready to be a

Whole Food Nation Affiliate

then I suggest you read about what we stand for, how we started and where we are going.

Beginning - Today - Future all because of three friends that are Health Nuts!

whole food nation affialite

What is Whole Food Nation?
Three friends began the company after creating what they felt was the best whole food multi (supplement) by their standards.

We manufacture and market two whole food multis. We support our local farmers and buy from the local ones each week during the summer, and attend their events when they have them, especially fund raising events.

The Founders.
Heidi Dulay, Ed.D. M.S. N.C
. - The product designer and nutrition fanatic, who arranges flowers and practices Qigong
Vicki Link, B.S. D.Cert. Y.P. NAMI - A health and fitness nut for 20 years
Kim Klaver,  B.A. M.A.T. A.B.D. - Kim has always focused on staying fit - tennis since she was eight, and running, hiking since she was a teenager.

What is this supplement?
It’s called The Pops.  It’s made from 22 fruits, 23 veggies and food herbs, probiotics, prebiotics, 11 digestive enzymes and spice packed in capsules. The Pops are nutrients.  You still need to try to eat healthy because taking a supplement does not replace food. This multi is a supplement whose ingredients are "whole" foods, minus the water and fiber. It has whole fruits, veggies, herbs, enzymes and spices that contain all the nutrients in real food - not just a blend of vitamins and minerals.

What are in the Pops?
Full ingredients for Purples (fruit) here
Full ingredients for Greens (veggie)
here.

Why has the fiber been removed?  I thought fiber was good.
Fiber is a good thing – if it’s in food, or in a fiber supplement.  It is not a good thing in a vitamin/mineral supplement.
First, if fiber is in your vitamin, you’re getting less of the expensive ingredients (the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes, probiotics, etc.)  You can buy a month’s supply of fiber for a few bucks.  The space in a capsule is best saved for precious ingredients, not wasted on cheap fiber, don’t you think?Second, fiber prevents the body from using vitamins and mineral.  It can bind with vitamins and minerals and carry them right out of the body.  So, if you need to add fiber to what you eat, take it alone.

How can all those ingredients be in a small capsule?
Dr. Heidi explains here.
Enough of each ingredient is in each capsule so that the synergy among them makes a difference.  Synergy, not quantity, is the key to effectiveness – much like good teamwork is the key to winning. "Less is more" in nutrition, means that our bodies can more easily process and use small quantities. In the long run, this translates to more health.

Why are the vitamin and mineral amounts not listed?
The value of the ingredients is not in amounts. It’s in the synergy or interaction among the hundreds of nutrients contained in the ingredients, all-working together. Functional medicine research is showing that very small amounts of a wide array of natural nutrients is usually more beneficial than large amounts of isolated nutrients. The body uses them more easily. Further, there is cooperation between certain vitamins and minerals, promoting absorption. Correcting a deficiency in one vitamin/mineral requires the addition of others, not simply replacement of the deficient one.

What will The Pops do for me?
We don’t know what the Pops will do for you. Since every body is different no one knows for sure what any whole-food supplement will do for you. The only way to know how it will work is to try it.What others have noted:

    Promotes:

  • Digestion
  • Elimination and detoxification
  • Energy
  • Better sleep
  • Better skin
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Reduced cravings
  • Reduced aches and pains
  • Normal cholesterol and blood pressure
  • Weight loss

I take a Multi-Vitamin now.  What makes a whole-food multi better?
Have you heard people laugh about Americans having the most expensive urine in the world?  That’s because the vitamins most Americans take are synthetic, and 90% of synthetic vitamins pass through the body unabsorbed.  A synthetic vitamin or mineral is a laboratory simulation of a simple version of the real thing.  Synthetic vitamins are super-processed. They are usually manufactured at high temperatures and contain artificial or toxic ingredients, such as dyes, preservatives, coal tars, sugars, starch and other additives.  Kind of like paint or plastics.

The USDA has raised the dietary guidelines for fruit and vegetable consumption from five to nine servings per day. Even if you like fruits and veggies, can you eat a variety of nine every day? The Pops contain twenty-two fruits and twenty-three vegetables, along with antioxidants, metabolic enhancers, digestive enzymes and probiotics. That’s over 70 nutritionally dense ingredients in your body, every day without having to stress over trying to eat them.

How much is it?
It depends. Let me tell you how it comes.
A single box retails for $45.00 plus shipping ($6.95).
They let you get three - nine boxes for $39.95 plus shipping ($6.95 - $10.95)
For the wholesale lover shoppers they let you buy 10 packs for $31 a box plus shipping ($10.95).
Standing regular orders, (subscribers) pay $37.00 - and get free shipping (a savings of $14.95).

What is a standing order or subscriber?

Subscribers order on average 4 boxes of Pops.  The 4 boxes will be shipped right away.  Four boxes will be shipped every four months. It can be paid in monthly installments of $37 or the total $148 at once.  Standing orders have free shipping.  This is the best price on The Pops and comes out to be $1.23 a day.

What is the average dosage? How do I take them?
The average person takes one
Purple capsule in the morning for energy and one Green capsule in the evening for calming and better sleep. Take with food because of the digestive enzymes.  Some people break the capsules open and sprinkle the contents on food or in smoothies.  When opened they smell like spice, not vitamins.

How long will a box last?
A box of Pops is 60 capsules; this is a 2-month’s supply.  Taking one Purple and one Green a day means half a box a month.

If I’m on any medications or prescriptions, can I take The Pops?
Generally yes. However, both the Pop-a-Purple and Pop-a-Green contain Bioperine®, which helps the body absorb nutrients. Bioperine
® will also enhance the absorption any drugs you’re taking. So it’s recommended you wait an hour after taking any medication before taking the Pops. If in doubt it’s always best to check with your Doctor.

This is just like eating the actual fruits and veggies so all I need to do is take the Pops instead of eating fruits and vegetables, right?
This is a supplement. So no, it’s not the same thing as eating actual fruits and vegetables. The Pops can help your immunity stay strong but you still need exercise, healthy eating, enough sleep etc.   Good nutrition and supplementation can help protect you from disease. Good nutrition helps your body to heal itself, like holistic healing.

Do I need a whole-food multi?

According to Cf Balch, P (2006), Prescription for Nutritional Healing, Fourth Edition.  These are people who need whole-food multis:

  • Adolescents
  • Alcohol drinkers
  • Athletes
  • Dieters
  • Drug users (prescription or recreational)
  • Elderly
  • Health fanatics
  • Junk food regulars
  • Overweight and obese people
  • People who supplement with specific nutrients
  • Sick people
  • Stressed out people
  • Smokers
  • Women who are pregnant, nursing or taking oral contraceptives
  • Workaholics

Source: Cf Balch, P (2006), Prescription for Nutritional Healing, Fourth Edition. New York: Avery/Penguin, p. xv.

What do I need to do next? How do I order?
Get in touch with me to see if the Pops are a fit for you and we can see which option works best for you. Orders can be placed online, phone or mail.  I’ll help you place your order and I will be available for follow up information.  If the time isn’t right for you to add the Pops to your daily nutrition I welcome you to contact me at a later date.

About Whole Food Nation Founders

Whole Food Nation Affiliate

Whole Food Nation Founders

Three friends began the company…

The three met and built a big business together in a NM company 15 years ago, and they’ve been buds - business, eating, hiking, dreaming, laughing and crying - ever since.

Heidi Dulay, Ed.D. M.S. N.C.

The product designer and nutrition fanatic, who arranges flowers and practices Qigong

She’s stayed fit (dancing) since she was a little girl, but in her early 30’s, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. That began a still-on-going-quest and love for all things that give and maintain health, especially nutrition.

After spending a week at the Golden Door Spa in the early 80s, she became a total health convert. She won the prize her first week there for losing the most weight in 6 days - 7 pounds. She’s very proud of that even now, 20 years later. (She’s 5′2" and went from 125 to 118.)

For the last 20 years, she’s been on daily lookout for the latest in nutrition and healing through natural means. She’s gone back to school to earn 3 more nutrition certifications. and has run a busy nutritional consulting practice, including running juice fasts once or twice a year, for almost 15 years. She’s also an accomplished Qigong student and teacher, and delightful flower arranger.

Her entire life is about health, nutrition and fitness, how to keep it and offer it to others so they can fit it into their schedules.

Dr. Heidi DulayDr. Heidi eschews Whole Foods organic cheeses made from pasteurized cows’s milk for unpasteurized cheeses made from raw goat or sheep milk - "because they’re easier to digest and the unpasteurized milk and cheeses have all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that pastuerized cheeses do not have…"

She drives 90 miles twice a month to buy fresh organic eggs, chickens and milk from an Amish family who operate a tiny organic farm. She sleeps with The Omnivore’s Dilemma (book) at night…yes there’s much more…

Vicki Link, B.S. D.Cert. Y.P. NAMIVicki Link

The den mother and script doctor for Whole Food Nation Affiliates, she runs every day, at night.

A health and fitness nut for 20 years, Vic runs every day - at night - in the dark and up the hill with her flashlight and two dogs. She’s a hiking lover, and travels to Yosemite each year to backpack for two weeks.

Vic owned a health store for almost 10 years, and ran juice fasts for almost 10 years with Dr. Heidi. She came up with oodles of yummy veggie and fruit juice recipes for the guests. She loves kids and worked as a youth pastor for eight years; plus worked with teenagers in detention another 3 years.

Her greatest and most painful challenge has been her now-24-year old son, who was diagnosed with severe bipolar affective disorder, manic-depression and ADHD. She’s worked so intensely with him over the last 10 years she’s now certified as a member of (or consultant) of NAMI.

She’s also a closet woo woo - she uses meditation and prayer every day to get her balance and restore her mental strength.

20-year Network marketing veteran (three companies), she went from a trailer park with a 3 day notice on the door to the top of the company in less than one year (that’s where she met Kim and Heidi).  She was such a stunning success that today, long after she left, her portrait hangs in that 30-year old company’s Hall of Fame.   Kim and Heidi dedicated the book, If My Product’s So Great, How Come I Can’t Sell It? to this gal.

She and Heidi met at Harvard over 30 years ago, and they’ve worked together on numerous academic and business endeavors since, including network marketing.

Before network marketing, Kim did commercial real estate. She specialized in finding locations for fast food companies and franchisees like McDonald’s, KFC and Taco Bell. Her first network marketing experiences was water filters - NSA - and she went on stage there after 6 months because she’d sold more filters than anyone else - the customer queen - they said. The next three companies she did went under, and in her last and fifth - she helped launch the Juice Plus product line in CA. It was her biggest success. She hit the highest position possible in the company in 4 months… Heidi was in that business with Kim, as was Vicki.

For the last 15 years Kim has been helping reps from over 100 companies learn how to market their products and their business. She’s written 6 books and created some 15 CD programs. She maintains a popular blog with thoughts on marketing for network marketers.

Her primary interest with Whole Food Nation is to market a product she uses and loves, and to test her sales model which takes an opposite approach to that used in  marketing today - focusing in on a thin sliver of the market: those who are fanatics and knowledgeable about their nutrition and health. And who love sales like she does.

ER Fat Burn Program

If you are interested in being a Whole Food Nation Affiliate it’s important to know about a major product-service we market, Dr. Heidi Dulay’s ER fat burn program,  online weight loss plans.

What is Food Cycling aka Extreme Regime (ER)
The Program

What’s different about this? It’s based on new research showing that calorie counting and doing exercise don’t help most people lose weight. The Surgeon General’s Report notwithsanding.

What do we get to eat? No rabbit food required. No exercise required. So, what do I have to do?

Eat real fats and proteins. Lay off artificial sweeteners and packaged "low-carb" or "low-fat" foods. Those labels are a sure sign of fake ingredients inside. They may cause you to retain water and fat and pack on cellulite.

ER eating plans accommodate Western and Eastern foods, different blood types and food sensitivies, traveling, restaurant food, and different levels of cooking skills.

On a pauper budget? Vegetarian? There are ER food plans for you.

You get a food list, food sources and recipes.

Here are the 4 basics of the ER program:

1. Real food is good. No fake, toxic, food-like substances.

2. Fat is good, including saturated fat IF it’s from happy animals. Or from coconuts.

3. Refined carbs are bad: sugar, sweets, alcohol and refined grains (white bread, pasta, rice, etc.). BAD.

4. Starving is no good. It destroys metabolism and creates fat.

What about fruits and veggies? Whole grains and legumes?

There’s a place for them in ER, but it is not in the Fat Burning Cycle except for a few, for some people.

Fruits and vegetables are primary foods in Cleansing, the second big cycle in ER. Grains and legumes may be part of the Coasting cycle for some people, depending on their body type. For many people, grains and legumes are fattening, or cause digestive problems and allergies.

What’s food cycling?

Food cycling grew out of very different "diet" approaches that all reported success. One explanation, it seems, is that bodies work like the seasons - they need different foods for different times.

For example, Fat Burning food is very different from Cleansing food. Coasting food, the third big cycle in ER, is also different. There are two mini-cycles: Comfort and Celebration, which keep us sane and happy.

ER Program Options

Active format. Dr. Heidi does live weekly group conference calls. She brings you up to date on clinical research findings on weight loss, and clarifies much of the confusing advice you might have heard or read. She works with you one-on-one every week to customize your program based on your own biochemical profile, conditions, preferences, reactions, and rate of progress.

Audit format. For do-it-yourselfers. No private sessions. Listen to the group calls, receive the handouts (pdfs), videos and audios, and join the private online ER discussion group.

What makes this work?

1. The food cycles.
Bodies know that there’s a time for fat burning, and a time for cleansing and rejuvenation. A time for discipline, and a time for comfort or celebration. And when it’s ready it can coast, knowing what’s truly good for it.

The Food Cycling/Extreme Regime Program guides you through these eating stages for lasting weight loss.

2. Commitment to health and rejuvenation.
There’s nothing toxic (like artificial sweeteners or artificial bars or shakes) that’s likely to compromise your health in the long run. No fat deprivation. We’d rather focus preventing or reversing aging while you lose weight.

3. Commitment to pleasure, ease and individuality.
I’ve been a hedonist for years. So I tailor your ER to you. How? Together, we eliminate anything stressful or unappealing. ER can accomodate your unique conditions, life style and goals.Plus if you don’t like what you’re eating, you might stress out. Chronic stress is harmful to health and causes fat storage. Who wants that?

What about weight loss?

Here’s what program graduates have said:

“ I finally lost the 20 lbs I thought I would never lose and kept it off even after a Mexico vacation. I’m never hungry.”
- Jennifer Grainger, Counselor, Stockton, CA

“I’m glad I lost 45 pounds in four months, but what’s more important is I feel so much better. When I came to Dr. Dulay a year ago, I couldn’t work more than 15 hours a week. Now I’m working 30.”
- Joe Thompson, Contractor, Petaluma, CA

“I lost 70 lbs in 9 months, including a 2-month plateau which I’m just coming off now. I just kept on food cycling during the plateau and I’m starting to lose again. 50 more to go. It’s part of my life now. It’s easy to eat in restaurants. It’s the way my husband and I eat now and we like it.”
- Syd Thompson, Real estate broker (Joe’s wife), Petaluma, CA

“I can feel it in the waist of my pants. They’re all looser… I’m not eating all that junk I used to eat — Cheetos, Tostitos … No candy bar after lunch, no Cokes except on rare occasions. I don’t miss them at all. And I now enjoy food in France without paying the weight price.”
- Nat Baker, Financial Controller, Silicon Valley

“I never thought losing weight could feel this good. Most of my perimenopausal symptoms and cravings are gone.”
- Virginia Poggi, Stockton, CA
